Banyan Hill is an international school for children aged two to eighteen, set among old trees on nine hectares of hillside. Classes are small, the questions are big and every child is known by name.

We believe children learn best when they feel safe enough to be wrong out loud. So our classrooms are noisy with questions, our gardens are muddy with experiments and our teachers spend more time listening than talking.
Children move through three small schools on one campus, each with its own buildings, playgrounds and pace. The path between them is gentle, and so is every step up.
Play is the curriculum. Children build, paint, dig and sing their way into reading and numbers, in two languages from the very first day.

Big questions drive every term. How do rivers move? Why do people leave home? Children research, make and present their answers to real audiences.

Teenagers are given real responsibility. They run the school garden business, mentor younger children and leave with a diploma recognised by universities around the world.

Follow a primary class from the morning bell to the last club of the afternoon.

Families arrive along a shaded path. Older children walk the little ones to their village.

Ten minutes to share news, settle in and decide together what the day needs.

Real pipettes, real goggles and a scientist who lets them make a mess on purpose.

Food from the kitchen garden, then painting the river stones collected on Monday.

Shoes off, cushions out. Forty minutes with a book chosen entirely by the reader.

Robotics, gamelan, football or the cooking club, whose cakes never last until Friday.
Tap a number to step inside. Every building opens onto a garden, and the biggest classroom of all is the shade under the old banyan tree.
Seven places, one short walk between each of them.
Walk the campus with a parent from our community and sit in on a real lesson.
A short application with school reports and a letter about what makes them light up.
Your child spends a relaxed morning in class while you meet the head of their village.
We pair every new family with a buddy family so the first week feels like the tenth.
Children follow an international curriculum from Early Years to Secondary, finishing with a diploma that universities around the world know and respect.
Yes. Many of our families move for work, so we welcome new children every term and plan a gentle first fortnight for each of them.
Our language team works with children in class and in small groups until they feel at home in English, while we keep their first language alive too.
Four routes cover the neighbourhoods most of our families live in, each with a teacher on board for the younger children.
Tours run every Tuesday and Thursday morning. Tell us a little about your family and we will find a time that suits you.
