Book a week

Saltline

A surf camp on the south coast of Bali for people who have always wanted to stand up on a wave, and for people who never want to sit down again.

Seven nights, two surfs a day, coaches who love their job and a beach house five minutes from the break.

Weeks from8.9MIDR

We opened Saltline after twenty years of teaching friends to surf on our days off. The rule then is the rule now. Nobody goes out until they understand the ocean, and nobody leaves until they have caught a wave on their own.

Two beginners walking into the white water with boards

Small groups, one coach for every four surfers and video review every afternoon, so you can see what your body is doing while your head thinks it is doing something else.

Every camp runs Saturday to Saturday. The plan bends with the swell, but it usually looks something like this.

Where every week ends

Not everyone gets barrelled. Everyone gets closer than they thought they would.

Good questions

More than fine. Half of every beginner week has never touched a board. You need to be able to swim and to be happy getting splashed.

Swimwear, reef safe sunscreen, a rash guard if you have one and something warm for the evenings. Boards, wax and leashes are on us.

Most people do. Shared rooms are matched by gender unless you ask otherwise, and by the second dinner you will know everyone.

There are almost always waves somewhere on this coast. If it really goes flat, we swap in a reef snorkel or a trip to the waterfalls and add an extra session later.
